Glass Balls
HD produce and export both glass balls from soda-lime and borosilicate materials
BOROSILICATE GLASS BALLS
Borosilicate glass is recommended for its additional resistance to chemical corrosion and temperature fluctuation.Borosilicate glass ball offers high resistance to thermal shock and prolonged exposure to temperatures up to 900° F. Borosilicate spheres have excellent corrosion resistance to water, most acid compounds, salt solutions, organic solvents and halogens. They can be used to resist strong oxidizing environments. Good resistance to alkaline solutions, they are not resistant to strongly alkaline solutions, hydrochloride acid and hot concentrated phosphoric acid.

Soda-lime GLASS BALLS
Soda-lime balls are recommended for applications requiring hardness and excellent resistance to corrosion.
APPLICAITON:
Since soda lime glass balls are stable and corrosion-resistant, they are ideal in various applications. Most of our soda lime balls are used in the cosmetic, medical, oil and gas, and food processing industries.
Characteristics
Soda lime glass balls are resistant to highly alkaline solutions. Soda lime glass balls are mainly used in applications which are not subject to strong mechanical or thermal shock, such as plastic bearings, flow meters, measurement and control equipment, instruments and ink cartridges. They also have good chemical resistance and high electrical insulation. Soda lime precision glass spheres will provide continuous service at 230°F. Good electrical and corrosion resistance; available in a variety of colors and finishes (polished or matt). Lightweight with steel/stainless steel.
