Acrylic, also known as PMMA or plexiglass, is chemically named polymethyl methacrylate. Acrylic has high transparency, providing clear vision with a light transmittance exceeding 92%, similar to optical glass, but its strength is more than ten times that of ordinary glass. Acrylic is tough and not easily broken; it has good chemical stability, is not prone to chemical reactions; it has good weather resistance, is not easily aged; and it is non-flammable and self-extinguishing. Acrylic balls can be used in crafts, toys, and other fields.
